Post-Operative Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation

Recovering well after surgery is an important part of getting back to your normal activities. At Mercy Physio & Co, our physiotherapists provide personalised post-operative rehabilitation to help you safely regain movement, strength, confidence and function.

We work closely with your surgeon, medical team and other healthcare professionals where appropriate, following your surgical precautions and individual recovery plan.

Our post-operative physiotherapy can help with:

        • Joint replacement rehabilitation, including hip and knee replacement
        • Shoulder surgery rehabilitation
        • Knee and lower-limb surgery
        • Spinal surgery rehabilitation
        • Orthopedic surgery
        • General post-surgical recovery
        • Regaining strength, mobility and balance
        • Returning to everyday activities, work, sport and exercise

What to expect

Your physiotherapist will assess your movement, pain, strength, mobility and functional goals. We will then develop an individualised rehabilitation programe appropriate to your stage of recovery.

Treatment may include education, mobility exercises, strengthening, balance and functional exercises, manual therapy where appropriate, and a progressive home exercise programe.

Your recovery is individual. We work with you at every stage to help you move safely and confidently towards your goals.
